This course is designed for teachers from grades K-12. The participant will be introduced to new insights and current trends in the field of educational and development psychology.
Emphasis will be placed on the educational implications of research on child development, cognitive science, learning, and teaching, and how information and ideas drawn from research in educational psychology can be used to solve the everyday problems of teaching. Examples, case studies, guidelines, and practical tips from experienced teachers will be reviewed to explore the connections between knowledge and practice. The course has no prerequisites or prior requirements.
